Ingredients

How to make it

1

Roughly chop the onion and slice the green onions into small rounds.

2

In a bowl, add Okonomiyaki Flour to 1/2 cup of water and mix with a spoon until just combined. It’s okay if a few small lumps remain.

3

Add the onion, green onions, egg, and Tenkasu to the batter. Gently mix, folding in air to keep the batter light and fluffy.

4

Heat a frying pan over medium heat. Pour 1 portion of the batter onto the pan, shape it, and cook for 3 minutes.

5

Place sliced pork belly on top, flip the Okonomiyaki over, and cook for 4 minutes.

6

Flip once more and cook for another 3 minutes. Then finish with okonomiyaki sauce, katsuobushi (bonito flake), and aonori (dried seaweed).
